The Jordanian Duty Free Shops (JDFS) was established in 1997 with only one shop in Jordan’s capital of Amman. Evolving from a locally focused outlet into one of Jordan’s top public shareholding companies, the JDFS proudly grew to operate 20 shops, strategically located at the kingdom’s land and sea borders, all setup to serve both arriving and departing tourists and diplomats, with only one focus in mind:

From its modest beginning, the JDFS acquired an immaculate growth momentum through strategic planning and development. Where now, the company offers a comprehensive and exciting range of products including the best in Fragrances, Cosmetics, Accessories, Confectionary, Liquor, Cigarettes and Tobacco.
Committed to providing its range of customers with an extensive shopping experience, the Jordanian Duty Free Shops serves diplomats, non-residential foreigners, and passengers ranging from tourists, businessmen to pilgrims.

The Company’s significant growth and business position caught the attention of the Jordanian government that ended up supportively contributing to the company’s mission, by providing strategic spaces for our shops at all borders. Consequently, the JDFS has built a prominent and respectable reputation and a name for itself in the market and among its loyal customers.
Located at the heart of the Middle East, Jordan is in the center of the communication routes between five surrounding countries and four continents. With the advantage of political and economic stability, Jordan made its mark as a favored tourist destination and an investment hub; ultimately presenting the JDFS with the tremendous opportunity for trade and development. Over the years, the JDFS has observed an increase in footfall with 6,640,978 visitors in 2017 leading to a total annual sales of $135 Million. With a perfect balance of inviting deals, remarkable product offerings and quality service, the JDFS is determined to set a new benchmark of performance.

It is evident that since its establishment till this day, The Jordanian Duty Free Shops Company (JDFS), throughout its network of land and sea borders shops, have succeeded in becoming the welcoming host to all Jordan’s multi-national and multi-cultural visitors. JDFS continues to play a significant role as an ambassador to Jordan at boarder shops and seaports; equipping departing visitors with a wealth of information, and experience to share with their families and friends in their home countries. This valuable experience and varied choices of products and experiences can also be experienced when you are in Amman, namely in our Shop at the Abdali Boulevard, which is a major point of attraction for different ambassadors, embassies foreign staff, consulates, as well as foreign staff of International NGOs.
Emanating from our relentless drive and passion to place Jordan’s name on the top of regional and global country lists, we have launched our dynamic website, as a diverse single point of contact where the visitor can seamlessly find out our latest activities, news, products, procurement requirements and promotions. Furthermore, the user will be furnished with interesting information regarding the different touristic and archeological sites in Jordan.
Rest assured, this is only the start of our digitization journey, as we are working on increasing our scope, visibility and reach with our new state-of-the-art services to target not only visitors, but also companies and employees.
